Message from the Bishop of Guildford
There is a myth abroad that the Church of England is shrinking. If this is the case why is it that quite a bit of time of Diocesan Officials and much more time in local parishes is taken up with the vision and planning and execution of extensions to our Churches! The fact is that more people step over the threshold of our churches today not only for services of worship but also for special community occasions and occasional celebrations than ever before in an age when people travel and visit extensively. It is therefore with great pleasure that I commend the extension to St. Mary’s, Frensham to you, the parishioners and friends of the Church and parish. As you know, this will give to Frensham excellent new facilities which will not only be of value to the Sunday by Sunday congregation but also to the wider community for whom St. Mary the Virgin is also your Church.
Because it is your Church, I invite you to support this project enthusiastically and to sponsor a stone – or more!
