Nativity Nature Trail

Although all the stations have now been removed, you can still do the trail (without the treats) by downloading the map, instructions and information sheets below

Please consider making a donation by clicking here

Start at The Good Shepherd - finish at St Mary's church

No booking necessary - just turn up and enjoy!

The walk is proving very popular so if the maps have all gone please view it here.  You can also download the  instructions and information sheets here (because of the very wet weather some of the sheets in the boxes are a bit soggy!)

Because we are not able to hold our traditional Crib services this year due to the Covid restrictions, we are bringing you a Nativity Nature Trail.  This is something that everybody can do, young and older, families and individuals.  It is a walk from The Good Shepherd church in Dockenfield to St Mary's in Frensham with 12 'stations' along the route following the Star.  The Trail not only tells the story of the Nativity but offers you exciting activities to do along the way.  All socially distanced, so you can do this even if we are in lockdown - a great way to exercise in your 'bubbles' or family groups and enjoy yourselves at the same time!

Children will love the jokes (think Christmas crackers!), treats and songs (crib sheets - excuse the pun - will be provided) and activities.  The more mature of us will have the opportunity for a leisurely walk through the beautiful countryside (virtually all of the walk is off-road) whilst reflecting on the Christmas message of hope.  This really is more important than ever in the current situation.

There is no charge - comprehensive maps of the route, activity sheets and treats will be provided.  If you enjoy the Trail, we would like you to consider making a donation which can be done here.

If you can perhaps arrange to park at either end of the walk and arrange transport back (or walk back to the start for the more energetic) that would be wonderful.
