The Vine Centre

 http://www.thevinecentre.org.uk/The Vine

The Vine Centre helps homeless people, prevents homelessness and brings opportunities to vulnerable, socially isolated and unemployed people (aged 18+). The Vine Centre provides a warm, safe environment to talk, engage in social activities, find training and employment opportunities or help with life in general. These services are delivered Mon-Fri addressing the immediate physical & mental health needs of clients, as well as their longer term needs.

Since Feb 2017 there have been many new developments at The Vine Centre but it's aim remains to help transform the lives of the most vulnerable from:

The homeless gentleman with no-one to turn to, who goes for help with finances and housing advice.

  • The long term unemployed, ground down by failed applications who goes to Monday Job Club for fresh help and support
  • The socially isolated woman with mental health problems who delights in painting at the Art therapy class
  • The young man gaining confidence in the workplace, interacting with others as part of “My Catering Career”

There is a basket in St Mary's Church at the crossing if you would like to leave a donation - the items below are always needed.

Caster Sugar and Granulated Sugar, Plain & Self Raising Flour

Dried Fruit, Nuts, Biscuits

Toilet Rolls, Laundry Powder, Dishwasher Tablets, Washing Up Liquid
